The Bears announced they have completed a head coach interview with Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores.

The Atlanta Falcons have now spoken with seven coaches for their defensive coordinator vacancy, interviewing former Chicago Bears head coach Matt Eberflus on Saturday. The 54-year-old was fired midway through the 2024 season after compiling an overall record of 14-32.

The Chicago Bears coaching search started after Thanksgiving with the franchise evaluating NFL coaching candidates immediately after firing Matt Eberflus.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero appeared on The Rich Eisen Show, where he discussed the current head coach search situations around the league, including the Bears. For Chicago, it certainly appears to be a two-way race between Detroit Lions offense coordinator Ben Johnson and former Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy.
