Loni Anderson, the actress, who has died two days short of her 80th birthday, combined eye-popping glamour with superb comic timing as the radio station receptionist Jennifer Marlowe in the popular sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati (1978–1982);

She starred with Burt Reynolds in the 1983 comedy film “Stroker Ace.” The two later married and became tabloid fixtures before divorcing in 1994.
