Amazon has released a new update for the current generation, Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Basic. They also have updates for the previous 11th and 10th generation models.
This drops the price of entry for the current (or 10th gen) Amazon Kindle to just AU$89 ... The latest model is available in white or black and has a perfectly respectable 8GB of storage space.
