Ubisoft, the French video game giant, has announced a restructuring that will include closing its studio in Leamington, as well as making changes in Düsseldorf and Stockholm. This decision will affect 185 employees as the company grapples with delays and poor sales.

The French gaming conglomerate Ubisoft is permanently closing down its UK-based studio, Ubisoft Leamington, which is based in Leamington Spas. A Ubisoft spokesperson confirmed that the Ubisoft Leamington studio shutdown was part of a broader plan to restructure the company.

A small number of staff who worked at the studio based at the Imperial House offices in Holly Walk, will be retained under remote contracts. Additionally, Ubisoft offices in Düsseldor , Stockholm and the Newcastle-based Ubisoft Reflections will be downsized.
