Carl Grundstrom scored the go-ahead goal early in the second period and the Philadelphia Flyers gave coach Rick Tocchet a victory against his former team, beating the Canucks 6-3 in his return to Vancouver.

Matty Beniers scored the lone shootout goal to end the third and final round as the Seattle Kraken defeated the host Vancouver Canucks 4-3 on Friday.
On Jan. 3, the Vancouver Canucks hosted the Boston Bruins on Hockey Night in Canada for their second matchup of the season. The last time they met, the Canucks walked away with a 5-4 shootout win in Boston.
