A rocket fired from Yemen hit an area of Tel Aviv overnight, leaving 30 people slightly injured by shattered glass or while rushing to shelters, the Israeli military said Saturday.

The Houthis claimed responsibility for the strike in the Jaffa area and celebrated the Israel Defense Forces’ failed attempt to intercept the missile.

The attack came after Israeli airstrikes on the Houthi-held Yemeni capital, Sanaa, and the port city of Hodeida killed at least nine people on Thursday. The Israeli strikes were in response to a long-range Houthi missile that hit a school building in central Israel.
