The Hollywood Reporter's newest "Person of Interest" is the singer-songwriter who just dropped the second part of his debut album, 'I've Tried Everything But Therapy,' ahead of the Grammys, where he is nominated for the first time.

Swims went viral for singing Shania Twain and would be "honored" to keep doing covers. But the Grammy nominee has "something to say" in his own songs.

“I knew that song was going to change my life,” Swims told Music Week . “If I have that gut feeling that something’s a hit and watch it become one, now I know I can trust my gut next time. In the past, I had written songs that maybe I thought people wanted to hear, versus something only true to me.
