SAN FRANCISCO — Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry announced his return to the lineup on Friday night long before the game against the Minnesota Timberwolves even started.

Despite a 48 point effort from Steph Curry, the Warriors came up short in a 136-131 loss to the Trail Blazers on Sunday evening.

Curry's return is certainly a much-needed boost for the Warriors, however. In the 16 games he played prior to his injury absence, the 37-year-old guard averaged 27.9 points on 47.1% shooting, 3.7 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.3 steals.

While wearing the AE 2, Curry put on a show. Laced up in blue and neon green, Curry tallied a game-high 39 points on 14-of-28 shooting from the field with six made 3-pointers. Curry added five boards and five dimes in 32 minutes against the Timberwolves.
