Firaxis Games has announced that Sid Meier's Civilization 7 will be Steam Deck verified. The upcoming 4X strategy game will be fully playable on Valve's handheld PC and players won't have to tinker with the in-game settings to get a good experience.

A massive 2025 release on Steam has been verified on Steam Deck by Valve a month before its release next month.

The Steam Deck and the PlayStation Portal, in their different ways, absolutely trounce the Switch in the controller department. I've gotten spoiled by the luxurious feel of both handhelds. The Steam Deck is studded with control options: roomy analog triggers, large extra trackpads and additional paddle buttons on the backside.

Sid Meier's Civilization 7 developer Firaxis has confirmed the highly anticipated strategy game will be Steam Deck verified upon its February 6 release date. A simple post from the official Civilization 7 X/Twitter account made the announcement.
