Mainline water break in Sparta
The Town of Sparta is currently experiencing a main water line break. The initial system alarm came in at 10 p.m. on Monday.
Alleghany County Schools to be closed Wednesday, Feb. 5 due to water main break affecting town of Sparta
Officials said the leak has been located and repaired, but the closure is due to making sure the water supply is clean for the safety of students and staff.
