South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley had some strong claims following her team's SEC Championship. While the women's conference championships are decided, they are waiting until Sunday to find out who will be seeded for the NCAA tournament.

The Gamecocks (30-3) entered the SEC Tournament ranked fifth in the country and projected to be a No. 2 seed. But after throttling three league foes, a No. 1 seed now seems to be a lock.

Both South Carolina and Texas had been likely one-seeds ahead of this game. But Texas, which had held the No. 1 overall seed coming into tournament play, will likely lose that spot. It would be surprising to see the Longhorns fall off the one-line, though. Despite the 19-point loss, their resume remains strong.
