Louisiana product, LSU star, and new New Orleans Saints running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire is staring at a terrific opportunity in the season finale. Edwards-Helaire, Jamaal Williams, and possibly Jordan Mims will be the primary backs when the Saints take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire will have the opportunity to play in front of his hometown crowd. It’s the former LSU Tiger’s first game with the New Orleans Saints, and he could have a clear cut role versus the Las Vegas Raiders.

Running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire will be active on Sunday according to interim head coach Darren Rizzi. With Kendre Miller (concussion) out and Alvin Kamara (groin) doubtful, Edward-Helaire should factor into the run game alongside Jamaal Williams as he did in Week 17.

Edwards-Helaire is signing with the Saints, NewOrleans.football’s Nick Underhill reports. This comes after the Saints saw Alvin Kamara leave their Week 15 game with a groin injury.
