A coffee shop owner has described competing in Netflix's real-life Squid Game show as the "longest day of her life". Alice Foster, 29, who owns Coffee Depot on Carholme Road in Lincoln, applied for season two of Squid Game: The Challenge "on a whim" after originally wanting to be on The Traitors.

Since then, the company has developed popular franchises including reality dating shows such as "Love Is Blind," and created fandoms over reality contestants like Harry Jowsey from "Too Hot to Handle," who will launch his own show similar to ABC's "The Bachelor" next year.

Netflix on Nov. 12 is opening Netflix House Philadelphia, a 100,000-square-foot destination that features experiences based on originals including 'KPop Demon Hunters.'
