Houston Texans receiver Tank Dell suffered a severe injury during the team's 27–19 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday. The injury occurred on his 30-yard touchdown catch when got sandwiched by Chiefs defensive back Trent McDuffie and fellow Texans receiver Jared Wayne.

He was brought to University of Kansas Medical Center at a level one trauma center, 12 miles from Arrowhead, according to the NBC broadcast. After the game, head coach DeMeco Ryans provided an update on the wide receiver, saying Dell will remain in the Kansas City hospital overnight for further evaluation of the "significant" knee injury.

During the first half of the Kansas City Chiefs’ Week 16 showdown with the Houston Texans, rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy sustained an injury that took him out of the game. After he left the field to be examined, the Chiefs downgraded his status to questionable to return.
