Remove the covers to access the inside of the dryer and inspect each drum bearing. If the bearings look to be in good shape, use a high-heat synthetic lubricant to lubricate the shafts they spin on.
If the dryer belt develops wear or has simply become slack with age, a loose or poor fit with the drum itself may cause slippage and squeaking. If this is the case, you’ll need to replace this part.
Make sure you don’t load the dryer with too much clothing. This may cause undue stress to the dryer’s motor, drum bearing, and other components. As a result, your clothes may not dry properly.
Dryers will begin to squeak if the drum rollers, axles, or idler pulley is worn out. The reason for the squeak is that one part of the dryer is rubbing against another part, causing friction.
