T he Carolina Panthers have bungled a few moves this year, but one that they definitely won't regret is sending disgruntled wide receiver Diontae Johnson to the Baltimore Ravens.

Nearly two months after acquiring wide receiver Diontae Johnson, the Baltimore Ravens have waived the six-year veteran, the team announced Friday. Baltimore’s decision to move on from Johnson, who was traded from the Carolina Panthers on Oct. 29, follows a tumultuous month between both parties.

The saga that is Diontae Johnson’s 2024 season has taken yet another turn. In a short (and kind of awkward) statement released on Monday afternoon, the Baltimore Ravens say that they have mutually agreed—with Johnson—to excuse the sixth-year wide receiver from their team activities this week.
