KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. –An 8-year child is dead following a two-vehicle crash Tuesday evening in Kanawha County.

Morales was arrested the same day and charged with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree aggravated assault, authorities said. He was taken to the Bergen County Jail and held pending his detention hearing.

Three children were among the four people killed, the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office said. The victims were 8, 9, 14, and 21 years old.

The plea deals came after an extensive investigation failed to determine who was responsible for the 2-year-old boy’s death.
