As of Thursday afternoon, six active wildfires are burning in Southern California, and maps shared on the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire) website show how each one has grown.

Weekend rain helped firefighters gain ground on the deadly Palisades and Eaton fires, which started Jan. 7 in a Santa Ana windstorm and destroyed entire neighborhoods. In northern LA County, cooler conditions aided the fight against the Hughes Fire. See below for updates on the three fires.

Although evacuation orders have since been lifted for most of LA County, fire survivors continue to face the road to recovery as they focus on rebuilding.
