ASUS has unveiled its updated ROG Zephyrus G14 (GA403W) and G16 (GU605C) gaming laptops at CES 2025. The 2025 Zephyrus G14 features AMD's latest Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, paired with the just-announced NVIDIA RTX 5080 Laptop GPU using the Blackwell architecture.

Regarding the display, the ROG Zephyrus G16 comes with a 16-inch 16:10 aspect ratio OLED panel with a 2.5K (2560×1600 pixels) resolution and 240Hz refresh rate. It has a glossy finish with 500 nits brightness, and it is excellent. The colours are sharp, and gaming on it is a pleasant experience.

There's the new Zephyrus G16, which comes with Intel's Core Ultra 9 processor 285H and choice of RTX 50-series GPU, up to an RTX 5090. And the Zephyrus G14, my pick of the two, which keeps the same Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 as last year's model but up to an RTX 5080 this time around.

Next up are the Strix G16 and G18 laptops which come with an Intel CPU, and either 16-inch or 18-inch displays. It will pack up to an RTX 5080 (a slightly less powerful Nvidia GPU compared to the Zephyrus), but still boast up to 32GB of DDR5 5,600MHz RAM, 2TB Gen 4.0 SSD, and a 240Hz 2.5K display.
