This week, the air will be dry. Highs will be sub-freezing some days. Winds will be gusty. All of that adds up to some bitterly cold days and frigid mornings.

While it may begin as a rain/sleet/snow mix, snow will overspread much of North Texas through the day and continue Thursday night. The snow may be heavy at times. Two to five inches is possible. Some locations may receive more than five inches of snow (especially farther north).

The Chicago Bears went into Week 18's matchup against the Packers with absolutely nothing to play for. After all, they're 4-12. The season is over. Might as well go wild with the special-teams calls.

The winter storm will pull away from the St. Louis area this morning, taking the snow away with it. However, arctic air is coming in behind the storm on gusty northwest winds.

Bitter cold is expected Monday morning, with wind chill values (feels-like temperatures) in the single digits and teens. A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect for North Texas, including Dallas and Fort Worth,

Southeast Missouri braces for a cold snap with below-freezing temperatures and snow through the weekend. Expect wind chills as low as zero degrees and snow accumulation of up to 4 inches in some areas.
