NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – The USS Gerald R. Ford arrived in the Latin America region Tuesday, according to The Hill. According to the U.S. Navy, the Trump administration is beefing up its military presence in the U.S. Southern Command (Southcom) area, as well as striking alleged drug-trafficking boats on both sides of South America.
