Weird winter weather: Cold and snow to the East, but rain and warmth in the West
The West will deal with rain on the first day of winter, the East and Great Lakes will get snow and cold, with very cold wind chills in the Northeast.

A National Weather Service (NWS) winter storm warning remains in place until 1 p.m. ET on Saturday for parts of south-eastern Maine, and the federal agency warns travel will be "extremely dangerous" with snow accumulations of "between 4 and 9 inches."

So it shouldn’t be surprising that the National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the snow belt from 5 p.m. today until 10 p.m. Saturday. The advisory is for eastern Cuyahoga County, as well as Ashtabula, Geauga and Lake counties.
