The No. 1 seed UNLV Lady Rebels women's basketball team dominated in their first Mountain West Conference Tournament game on Monday with a double-digit victory over the Boise State Broncos. Now they turn their attention to the San Diego State Aztecs.

A 10-point halftime deficit in Tuesday’s Mountain West tournament semifinal was no cause for concern for the UNLV women’s basketball team. Three straight conference championships had helped the Scarlet and Gray build an aura of invincibility

The fourth-seeded Aztecs (23-9) will face top-seeded UNLV (24-6) at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the semifinals. Monday’s game was tied 33-33 at halftime and neither team had scored in the first 2 ¼ minutes of the second half when SDSU’s Kim Villalobos intercepted a Lobos pass and fed freshman guard Naomi Panganiban for a breakaway layup that gave San Diego State a 35-33 lead.
