Panama President José Raúl Mulino responded Sunday to President-elect Trump's idea to regain control of the Panama Canal expressed over the weekend.

First it was Canada, then the Panama Canal. And now Greenland. President-elect Donald Trump is renewing calls he made during his first term for the U.S. to buy Greenland from its protectorate, Denmark,

China does not manage the canal. Trump’s complaints on that relate to Panama having renewed, in 2022, a longstanding arrangement with a Hong Kong-based company to manage the two ports of entry to the canal. (The renewed deal has also recently drawn some ire in Congress.)
