The Houston Zoo's menagerie weathered the city's snowiest day since 1973 with help from 66 staff members who stayed in its confines overnight.

Parts of Texas are getting hit with snow -- and some of the animals at the Houston Zoo don't seem to mind one bit.

The Houston Zoo's bald eagles Sallie and Mae enjoy the snow. Amur leopards are native to coniferous-deciduous forests and mountains of eastern Russia and northern China. Their longer legs and larger feet help them trudge through snowy environments.

Indigenous North American animals like cougars and bald eagles, which are among the animals at the zoo, are no strangers to snow.
