A 37-year-old man who police say stabbed five people in Seattle on Friday and possibly four others the day before made his first court appearance where a judge ordered him held on $2 million bail.

Seattle Police arrested one person in connection with a mass stabbing that left five people injured on Friday afternoon, and other stabbings from the previous day also could be connected.

A suspect is in custody Friday after at least nine people were stabbed in Seattle in a span of 38 hours, police said.
