A Powerball player in Bergen County matched all five white balls drawn Wednesday night, missing only the Power Ball, to capture a $1 million prize, state lottery officials said. Additionally, a Sussex County player matched four white balls and the Power Ball to win $50,000.

More than 610,000 other Powerball tickets sold in the United States also won prizes ranging from $4 to $1 million, the lottery said.

A lucky Powerball player in Northern California fell one number short but still won $702,000 in Wednesday night’s draw.
