A Dallas police chase ended with a deadly crash in Ellis County. Officers shot at a capital murder suspect and now multiple agencies are investigating the incident.

ELLIS COUNTY – An innocent victim died and two people were hospitalized Thursday after Dallas police were involved in a shooting following a chase and two-vehicle crash on I-35E in Ellis County, authorities said. It happened Thursday morning on I-35E southbound at Red Oak Road, in northern Ellis County.

There is a large police presence along southbound Interstate 35 in Red Oak after a police chase that ended with a crash and an officer-involved shooting.

Ellis County Sheriff, Red Oak police, Dallas police and the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene on Thursday.
