Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh didn't any worries about star QB Lamar Jackson's hamstring injury on Monday.
A day after Ravens quarterback and two-time NFL Most Valuable Player Lamar Jackson suffered a hamstring injury in a 37-20 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, coach John Harbaugh on Monday did not say if Jackson would miss any time. “I got a pretty good feel with all the injuries,” he said, “but not commenting on them today.”
The Ravens are uncertain if Lamar Jackson will play in Week 5 against the Texans as he deals with a hamstring injury.
Harbaugh did not say anything about Jackson's potential availability for Week 5 on Monday, but the QB's injury was significant enough to sideline him on Sunday.
Lamar Jackson left Sunday's 37-20 loss to the Chiefs in the third quarter with a hamstring injury. Upon exiting the contest, the Ravens were down 30-13, leading some NFL fans to wonder if coach John Harbaugh left the quarterback out of the game for precautionary reasons since Baltimore was trailing by so much.
Backup quarterback Cooper Rush took the field with 56 seconds left in the third quarter and the Ravens trailing 30-13. Jackson had completed 14 of 20 passes for 147 yards, one touchdown and one interception at the time of his departure.
“John Harbaugh said Lamar Jackson's hamstring injury precluded him from returning to the game, and it didn't matter that the game wasn't close at that point,” reported ESPN NFL insider Jamison Hensley on X, formerly Twitter. “There was no way he could have gone back in the game,” Harbaugh said, per Hensley.
Ravens coach John Harbaugh did not provide an update on the status of quarterback Lamar Jackson, who exited in the third quarter of Baltimore’s 37-20 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday due to a hamstring injury.
