The Oregon baseball team’s first season in the Big Ten Conference will not end with a championship. The top-seeded Ducks suffered a 7-3 defeat to the eighth-seeded Nebraska Cornhuskers Saturday morning in the final pool play matchup of the Big Ten baseball tournament in Omaha.

Oregon could do much of anything against Nebraska starter Jackson Brockett and the Cornhuskers oust the Ducks from the Big Ten tournament.

Even after waiting an extra day for its opportunity due to a rain delay, Nebraska baseball still made the most of its chance at top-seeded Oregon, advancing to the Big Ten Tournament semifinals with a 7-3 win against the Ducks at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha.
