Mel Kiper has a plan for the New York Giants, but it involves Minnesota Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy instead of a 2025 NFL Draft prospect.

That the Giants could potentially seek a trade to find their franchise quarterback is a reflection of the lukewarm view of this year’s draft class.

As Kiper and host Evan Canty were discussing the Vikings' potential plans with Sam Darnold, the long-time draft expert suggested McCarthy would be on the trade block. Asked whether the Giants should trade the No. 3 pick to Minnesota for McCarthy, Kiper gave an emphatic yes.
