Whoopi Goldberg told Democratic New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani that she would pay his proposed taxes on the rich “if everybody pays” on The View on Wednesday. Goldberg took issue with Mamdani’s campaign platform of taxing all those who earn more than $1 million annually at a flat 2% rate.

Starbucks workers picket for better pay amid New York City store closings
LOWER MANHATTAN (WABC) -- Over a dozen Starbucks workers raised their voices and picketed outside a store in Lower Manhattan on Wednesday morning. It comes as New York City officials said they are aware of 54 Starbucks that are closing as part of a $1 billion restructuring plan that will shutter more than 400 stores nationwide.
Mamdani was being questioned on his Israel beliefs by “The View” co-host Sara Haines, who has a Jewish husband. Haines, wearing a yellow pin for the Israeli hostages, told Mamdani he has “made inflammatory statements, like calling Israel an apartheid state and questioning its right to exist as a Jewish state.”
