An hours-long protest continued in downtown Los Angeles late Sunday evening, with demonstrators moving off the freeway. SkyCal was overhead as a skirmish line of police began to move in to try and disperse the large crowd.

LOS ANGELES - A large group of anti-ICE protesters have walked onto the 101 Freeway in downtown Los Angeles near the Alameda Street exit, according to police. Both sides of the freeway are currently blocked, officials said, and both north and southbound lanes are under major gridlock in the DTLA area.

Draped in Mexican and Salvadoran and flags, roughly 1,000 demonstrators gathered near City Hall shortly before noon, blocking traffic at Spring and Temple streets
