The Dodgers’ biggest trade deadline acquisition won’t play in the 2025 postseason and will likely miss the start of the 2026 season, too.
The Los Angeles Dodgers officially clinched the NL West on Thursday with a dominant 8–0 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks, marking their 12th division title in 13 seasons. The Dodgers no longer have the opportunity to claim a top-two seed in the NL and will be headed to the wild card series when the postseason begins next week.
The Los Angeles Dodgers will be without Tommy Edman and Max Muncy against the Seattle Mariners as they prepare for the postseason.
Blake Treinen has given up 11 runs in 7 1/3 innings this month. Closer Tanner Scott has surrendered six runs over his past 7 1/3 frames. Treinen has a 5.47 earned run average on the season; Scott has allowed 4.82 earned runs per nine. Kirby Yates has been knocked around as well, and he went down with a hamstring strain earlier in the week.
