Kneecap paid tribute to bandmate Moglai Bap's father at a sold out Belfast gig just hours after the announcement of his death.

Kneecap paid an emotional tribute at their Belfast gig on Saturday night after one of their band members suffered a family tragedy.

Kneecap have led tributes after the death of an Irish language champion from Belfast. Gearóid Ó Cairealláin, whose son Naoise is a member of the hip hop group, passed away after a short illness. He died on Friday, a day before the band perform at a sell-out gig at Belfast’s SSE Arena.
