Indiana fans are pretty starved for a winner in the revenue sports. They flocked to Assembly Hall in record numbers for the basketball program that gets to the postseason, most men’s soccer games have good crowds and there’s a solid student section at swim meets.
It was hard for K-State to maintain control of the ball in its first true road game of the season against Indiana's defense. The Wildcats turned the ball over and the Hoosiers took advantage. The same problems happened against Nebraska. Both games ended in defeat for K-State.
The No. 24 Hoosiers led by as many as 23 points in an 86-69 victory over Kansas State (5-2) at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall on Tuesday. Reed Bailey had 21 points, and was 13 for 15 at the free throw line, and Tayton Conerway added 19 points. Lamar Wilkerson had 14 and Tucker DeVries was limited to nine with six rebounds and five assists.
