In the 87th Tata Steel Chess Tournament 2025, R Praggnanandhaa won his sixth game, Arjun Erigaisi secured his first victory, and Gukesh settled for a draw. Highlights included Praggnanandhaa's win over Alexey Sarana and Abdusattorov's defeat by Erigaisi.

D Gukesh maintained his half-point lead with an easy draw against Wei Yi of China, while R Praggnanandhaa outwitted top seed Fabiano Caruana of the United States at the Tata Steel Masters.

Ahead of Sunday's final round, R Praggnanandhaa joins world champion D Gukesh atop the Tata Steel Masters standings

The tournament now hinges on the last round. Arjun Erigaisi, having mustered some confidence from today’s win, will take on Gukesh while Pragg meets Gukesh’s world championship second, Vincent Keymer.
