Delta’s goodwill gesture to survivors of the plane crash in Toronto may just be the beginning of the compensation the airline will eventually pay.

Delta Flight 4819, which was arriving in Toronto from Minneapolis, burst into flames upon landing and flipped upside down on the runway Monday.

"While it was happening, I very calmly had the thought that I was likely going to die," the Delta Air Lines passenger recalled.
