Sebastian Zapeta, a Guatemalan migrant living in a Brooklyn men’s shelter, made his first court appearance Tuesday to face murder charges.

Sebastian Zapeta, a 33-year-old Guatemalan migrant who lives in Brooklyn, was charged with murder in the first and second degree and arson, officials said.

The police said a man was taken into custody. The victim had been seated in a subway car at the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue station on Sunday morning when a man set her on fire.
