DES MOINES, Iowa — On Tuesday, hundreds of students walked out of middle and high schools across the city to protest U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s detention of Ian Andre Roberts, the now-former superintendent of Iowa’s largest school district.

The attorneys for Ian Roberts, the Des Moines Public Schools superintendent who was arrested last week by immigration authorities, held a news conference Tuesday.

Des Moines Public Schools previously stated that Ian Roberts received an MBA from MIT. The university has no record of his enrollment.
