The Steelers’ defense has been reeling in the war of attrition early this season. Pittsburgh already had to adjust for the injuries to starters such as Derrick Harmon, Alex Highsmith, Joey Porter Jr.
Highsmith is one of several injured Steelers defenders. Pittsburgh, which started the game without starting defensive backs Joey Porter Jr., DeShon Elliott and rookie defensive tackle Derrick Harmon, suffered in-game injuries to defensive tackle Isaiahh Loudermilk and linebacker Patrick Queen .

Coach Mike Tomlin said Wednesday that Highsmith (ankle) won't play in Sunday's game versus Minnesota, Teresa Varley of the Steelers ' official site reports.
On Monday, Rapoport relayed an update from Steelers coach Mike Tomlin, who reportedly called the injury a high-ankle sprain.
Pittsburgh has listed Jaylen Warren as questionable for Week 4. Warren is dealing with a knee injury. He was listed as limited on all three injury reports this week, but also had a resting player designation earlier in the week. Warren has rushed for 132 yards on 43 carries and caught 11 passes for 142 yards with a touchdown so far this season.
Coach Mike Tomlin told reporters after the 31-17 loss that Highsmith suffered a high ankle sprain. This means the linebacker will likely miss four-to-six weeks. It's possible, too, that Highsmith could land on the injured reserve, which means he would be out at least four weeks. Not great news for Steelers fans.
