Environment Canada's air quality index has reported moderate to high risk since Saturday morning in Calgary, as many parts of the country struggle with the effects of wildfire smoke.

Smoke from Canadian wildfires is engulfing much of the eastern and central United States and and is expected to continue for days.

The *AIR QUALITY ALERT has been CANCELLED for all of Southeastern Minnesota as of around 6:30 PM CDT. Ground-smoke levels have dropped across the area, but skies will continue to look hazy this evening,
