Power banks should juice up electronics, not burn down the house. That’s why Anker Innovations recalled about 1,158,000 Anker PowerCore 10000 power banks. Or, as the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recall notice says, “The lithium-ion battery in the power bank can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards to consumers.”

Electronics maker Anker announced an official recall of Anker PowerCore 10000 power banks with the model number A1263 on June 12. The company received 19 reports of the portable chargers catching fire and exploding.

U.S. Consumer and Product Safety Commission is recalling a popular Anker portable charger, as it can overheat and cause serious burns and fires.
