We did the Olympia excursion and thoroughly enjoyed it. It does take up most of the day but is WELL worth it. The historical and cultural exposure is fantastic. I learned a ton of new things! Katakolon is a fine little seaside village for shopping and a drink or snack. Nowhere near a day's worth to do there. Good luck!
