The Ford Museum has very little that would be of interest to small (or even middling-small) children. It is appropriately focused on the history of the man and his service. However, just a short way away there is the Grand Rapids museum that has lots of things that would engage younger children.

I don't believe there are food options at the museum. But there are so many fantastic restaurants within a short walk! Hotel restaurants and independent farm to table and other choices abound. We liked the Kitchen Counter at Wolfgang Puck as well as Butcher's Union and the Knickerbocker, especially. The Littlebird Cafe on Monroe Center is also fantastic. Enjoy!
