It's definitely kid friendly. We brought 5 kids, ranging in ages from 7 to 14, and they had a blast. The main trail includes some rocky areas (uneven terrain), stairs and some moderately steep inclines. There are several trails up into the cliffs and through the creek bed that would be difficult for small children to traverse safely (creek bed isn't bad, except the hazard of slippery rocks). Keep in mind, however, there are no public restrooms at this site.

Can a handicapped person with a walker, drive somewhere near the park and see some of its features

Hi, I'm not sure. The part of the park we went too wasn't handicap accessible :(
